Mr Joseph RaggGeneral Surgeon Joe is a General Surgeon. Training and Qualification is M.B.,,B.S (Univ. of Melb.), with surgical training based at Royal Melbourne Hospital leading to FRACS (Fellowship Royal Australasian College of Surgeons). Further were post graduate (MSurg, (Flinders University, Adelaide)) and pursuing an interest in Colorectal surgery including Fellowship positions over two years in the United Kingdom prior to then commencing consultant practice. Having grown up in SouthWest Victoria (Camperdown) Joe is pleased to be able to provide a service that allows regional Australians to have health care locally. Joe’s positions include Visiting Medical Officer at SouthWest HealthCare (Warnnambool and Camperdown), St John of God Warrnambool, and Portland District Health. ‘Scope of Practice’ includes Colorectal (e.g. common conditions such as bowel carcinoma which will unfortunately affect 1 in 20 Australians in their lifetime, Colonoscopy (diagnostic and associated procedures), and General abdominal and other surgery (e.g. Hernia, Gallbladder, Breast, Minor plastics). Other activities include contributing toward the training of Surgical Registrars (future General Surgeons) along with Medical Undergraduates. |
